October is SOCKTOBER at the Crooked Stitch!

Grab some sock yarn, pick a pattern and let’s get knitting!

Here are some recommended patterns we picked for you from Ravelry.

Top Down Patterns

Hermione’s Everyday Socks

Named after a smart and practical character in J.K. Fowling’s Harry Potter series, these socks are knit top down. They feature a garter-stitch-edged slip-stitch heel. The pattern itself is written for one size, but with a 4 stitch pattern repeat, it is easily customizable to fit whatever size one desires. Download Hermione’s Everyday Socks.

Vanilla Latte Socks

This is more of a sock recipe than a full pattern. It includes directions for knitting with 56, 64, and 72 stitches. You choose your favorite cuff ribbing, then choose between three heel flap variations, and two different toes. Download Vanilla Latte Socks.

Toe Up Patterns

Minor Excursion Sock

This pattern uses traditional Guernsey stitches in a toe-up format. It is sized for a Men’s US size 12 medium shoe, but the width is very stretchy and can easily fit a women’s wide foot to a men’s wide foot. Download the Minor Excursion Sock.

Fleegle’s Toe Up Socks

Directions are for toe-up socks knitted on two circulars. Download Fleegle’s Toe up Socks.
